The holidays are indeed a hectic time. I have had so much to try to take care and have Christmas shopping on the brain. Seriously. I'm having nightmares about not being able to find presents for people. Ordinarily, I would alleviate the stress by opening up a good book and reading for a while, but even that has been hard to do.
We got dumped with quite a bit of snow. (Don't worry, Terri. I took pictures so you can see just what you're not missing.) Hubby's back is out, so I would not let him pick up a shovel. That took time as well as trying to finish the Christmas decorating. I gave myself a goal of today to finish by and for once, I actually made it. Now I just have to get up the outside lights.
While I am coming to understand that it is always something and I won't have time unless I make time, and even though I still have some Christmas presents still to buy, a heavy burdened has been lifted off my shoulders having gotten the tree up and done.
Still have cookies to bake and a kitchen to tidy, but I feel much less pressured.
I may not have had time to read and was really hoping to have been able to write a couple more posts this week, it didn't stop me from ordering some Kindle books. Still trying to clean up the wish list and get my downloaded samples all read. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to read another day.

That's it for now. If I try real hard, I might be able to read a little before I have to go to bed. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Oh my, so many new books! Hope you find some time to read them, as they look really good! And thank you for worrying, but I'm not missing the snow AT ALL! In fact, we took the dog to the beach today (was 84!). Is this where I say neener, neener, neener? Ha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all of your new books! :D
Well, today was a frigid 69 degrees up here. It snowed twice last week, but it's all gone now. Yeah. I have had no time to read. I just finished Christmas shopping today. Tomorrow is bake cookies day and clean the kitchen. Presents are all wrapped.
DeleteI am off from now until January 2nd, so I do plan to get reading done and reviews done. That will be my primary goal after a month of frantic activity.
So look out!!! I'm coming back!
