Swoon Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by YA Bound @ http://yabound.blogspot.com.
I run my fingers along the tendons in his hand and look back at him.
“I might be in love with you.” He smiles a little. “I’m waiting until I’m sure to tell you, though.”
“That’s sensible of you,” I say, smiling too. “We should find some paper so you can make a list or a chart or something.”
I feel his laughter against my side, his nose sliding along my jaw, his lips pressing behind my ear.
“Maybe I’m already sure,” he says, “and I just don’t want to frighten you.”
I laugh a little. “Then you should know better.”
Le sigh!
Oh I love this book! Awesome swoons!
ReplyDeleteI'm just sorry it took me so long to read it. I think it was just my dystopian prejudices. So glad I caught the movie on cable. Otherwise, I might never have read the book. Now I just need to read the rest of the series.
DeleteIt was interesting in that while there was a romantic story, it's not a typical romance in that every day was a life and death struggle. So, the romance was very stripped down, more cut to the chase, maybe more primitive. It was certainly refreshing. And believe me, Four is a very swoon-worthy romantic lead.
ReplyDeleteI know you hate hyped up books and try to stay away from them, but I think you might actually like this.
Awww... that is a great swoon! I so need to read this series!!

I was a non-believer, but I'm glad I caught the movie on cable which prompted me to read the book. I got the Kindle edition because it was under $5.00. Loved it so much I had to buy the Collector's Edition in hard cover with some extra goodies inside. I wholeheartedly recommend the series, well, at least Divergent. I still need to read Insurgent. I hope you check it out!
