Stacking the Shelves - New York Comic Con Edition

I am under attack!!!!!

My computer is under attack by a vicious strain of adware. It admonishes me to update my FLV Flash Player. With every web page I try to open, another window pops up with the ad. I have been under attack for a week now and hubby has been trying his darndest to get rid of it. Norton won't pick it up as it is not a virus. We have tried other types of sweepers which seem to find it and remove it, but it replicates itself and renames it.

So, I have been unable to work on my computer. I am posting this update from my iPad. I do not know the nature of the threat and do not want to log into any page or access any account information while my PC is still under attack. Hence, I have not posted anything since. I can use my iPad, but it's not so easy to do pictures and things like I normally do.

So, that's what I've been dealing with. This past week I have been busy getting ready for the New York Comic Con, so I have at least been occupied. I needed to get organized and I was happily making lists. I think I was pretty set. I had my authors set. I had my panels selected. I had my floor map highlighted and marked with dots and lines and arrows and the names of all the booths I wanted to stop by. I also had my list of Comic Con exclusives to look for and as much of an autographing and publishers give away schedule as I could find. I only went for Thursday and Friday this year as Saturday and Sunday were beyond insane last year. I swear there was a moment when I was moving with the crowd, but my feet were not touching the floor. More on the NYCC later. Today it's all about the books.

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Review.

  1. Oh no! I hope you get the computer problem fixed soon. I need my desktop in order to work and that crapped out on me a couple of months ago. So I can totally understand what you're going through.

    1. It seems quite a few people are having issues with computers lately. I am so happy I bought my iPad, though. While it was difficult posting from my iPad, it at least kept me sane so I could look at Bloglovin, Goodreads, Kindle Daily deals, etc.
The issue has finally been resolved and I will be posting again by tomorrow.
      Thanks for stopping by Kristin!

  2. Having been out of action myself thanks to computer issues I can empathise with you. Hoping you get things sorted soon as I'm eager to hear all about comic Con.

    1. Well, I still have to write about comic con. I took a couple pictures of fun authors and I experimented by emailing the photos to myself, but I could not figure out how to copy the photo from email and paste into my blog with the iPad, so I just decided to wait until the evil adware was defeated.
It has been now and I will be back up and running tomorrow.
I know you feel my pain. I feel lost without the computer. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.

  3. Hope hubby is able to fix your PC soon! So annoying when that happens!

Well done with your Comic Con haul! So jealous at all of the awesome books you managed to bring home, but hope you didn't hurt yourself hauling them home!

    1. You will hear about comic con before the end of the week. I will say this, though. I decided to not take a suitcase Thursday because the floor was only open from 3 - 7. How bad could it be? Big Mistake!!! The pain, the pain!!!
Took a suitcase Friday, but it was one of the carry on size pieces of luggage. Still, fit all the books in it.
I actually managed to survive a con and not destroy my luggage with the weight of my books. Progress!
