Swoon Thursday- City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

Well, I haven't done one of these posts in a really long time, mostly due to the fact that I hadn't been reading for at least a couple months. It feels good to back in the swing of things.

Swoon Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by YA Bound

I have been trying to catch up on my reviews, but since I read the books last year, that means I basically have to read them again. Such a hardship.

This week's swoon comes from City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. This book was heartbreaking. Nothing like a little heartbreak to make a great swoon!

So, without further ado...

"Please. If we don't say anything - if we just pretend - "

"There is no pretending, " Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there's a life after that, I'll love you then."

  1. I liked this book a lot! I wish Clare could have stopped here. Excellent swoon choice, Bo!! Thanks for visiting my blog!

    1. I had started reading City of Fallen Angels, but I stalled on it. I re-read the first three books so I could roll right into Book four. I doesn't sound like you were to thrilled with books 4 - 6. Hopefully, I'll still enjoy them. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Alas I found myself unable to swoon at these books a while ago. A sure sign I'm getting old perhaps, who knows.

    1. My sign of old age is when I refer to the younger population as "those darned kids" as if I were in a Scooby Doo mystery. What I really did love about Jace and Clary's relationship is that it was so tragic and twisted, at least for almost two books. The angst was palpable. And I always hope for that happy ending.

    1. I pretty much loved every page with Jace and Clary featured. He's arrogant, but it is not out of any inflated sense of self. He just knows he's that good. So many good swoons throughout the series, well, the first three books anyway. I still have to read books 4 - 6.
